For 33 years, he made significant contributions as a research toxicologist with Dow Chemical, where he was respected for his brilliance, professionalism and dedication to his work. However, Leroy’s true pride lay in his family. He often spoke of his family as his greatest accomplishment, embodying the values of love, dedication, and support that he instilled in each generation.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Rosella Neltner (nee Weyman), and his beloved wife of 60 years, Carol Jean Neltner (nee Weyer).
