Reflections on Leroy "Link's" Life

Leroy F. Render was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 8, 1939 to the late Mamie (Johnson) Fuller and John B. Render. He departed this life on Monday, May 28, 2012.

Leroy Render was a graduate of Taft High School in 1958. After graduating, he worked for Hostess Bakery for 25 years and then went on to work for Klosterman Bakery for many years until he retired in 1996.

Leroy met Rosa Lee Flagg at an early age. Their relationship blossomed over many years and they united in marriage in 1961. To their union of over 50 years came 6 children. They continued to have a loving relationship; talking daily, laughing and reminiscing on their early years together until God called Leroy home.

Leroy, "Link" was known for his kindness of giving to others. He never met a stranger. His loving spirit and beautiful smile was known by everyone who knew him. Link was best known for his love of fishing and shopping. He shopped for others because he was so giving. He loved making people laugh with his Richard Pryor looks and he simply had the heart of gold. Leroy attended Rose Chapel Missionary Community Church faithfully, even though he had problems with his sight in the end.

Leroy leaves to celebrate his home going 6 children: Sheila Bines (Reginald); Cedric Render (Cornelia); Sharon Render (Dan); Leroy Render, Jr. (Katocka); Sunjia Sims (Robert); and Sybil Render; 11 grandchildren: Ebony Bines, Reginald Bines, Jr., Corlinda Reeves, Mahogany Render, Kaleyah Render, Kamar Render, Destiny Williams, Robert Sims II, Robert Sims III, Stepfon Phillips, and DuPree Phillips; 4 great-grandchildren: Reginald Bines III, Kalijha Finch, Nijala Render, and Trenton Render; 1 brother: Shelton Fuller; 1 sister: Patience Fuller; 2 sister in laws: Rosa Flagg and Janette Flagg; 2 brother in laws: Robert Flagg and Floyd Flagg; 5 nieces: Barbara Flagg Daniels, Cornetta Miles, Qeira Fuller, Jermaine Fuller, and Jahnea (Paris) Fuller; 3 nephews: Ronald Flagg, Shelton Fuller Jr., and Comenzo Fuller; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Leroy loved his family and friends very much. He will truly be missed, but not forgotten.

Special friends include Shirley Salter & family, Lorraine Reece & family, Rose Brinkley & family, Sonya Smith & family, Jimmy Burts & family, and Carol Jean Booker & family.
