Leslie Raisa Jordan Brooks

Leslie Raisa Jordan Brooks was born on March 1, 1992 to the union of Eric Brooks and Celeste Jordan. She peacefully departed from this life on December 6, 2022.
As a child, Leslie loved to play outdoors and she would often befriend stray kittens. Both her mother and grandparents were each 'gifted' with a cat because Leslie wanted to ensure these stray cats had a safe home. Leslie was kind, compassionate and always willing to lend a listening ear to anyone who needed someone to talk to and she would extend her hand of service to anyone that she could help.
As a youth, Leslie was a member of the Bond Hill Flyers track team where she excelled in throwing the shot put and the discus. She attended and competed in several AAU Jr. Olympics in several different states.
As she grew older, Leslie loved doing hair and was excelling in her skills as a loctician. Her talents will be missed by many. She also loved cooking for the holidays, listening to music and spending time with her friends. Leslie had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. When she laughed, she laughed with her whole body and it was contagious. You wanted to laugh with her. Leslie was truly a people's person.
Leslie was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Willa Brooks and she leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Celeste Jordan, maternal grandparents, Arthur and Jimmie Coleman, sister, Ashleigh Jordan, niece, Arielle, nephew, Alexander, her children, Che'Lee, Amanuel, Alannah, Saadiq, Summer, Jewelique, a dear childhood friend who was closer than a brother, Tobias Curry and many other relatives and friends.
Although Leslie is gone from us in the physical realm, she will remain in our hearts for infinity and beyond. Leslie, we love you and we will miss you. Thank you for gracing the world with your smile, your tender heart and always willing to see the best in people.
Funeral Ceremony will be 12:00 pm Saturday, December 17, 2022 with a visitation from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
