Leslie Rae Rebilas

November 21, 1957 — June 13, 2019

Leslie Rae (Haines) Rebilas, 61, of Florence, KY passed away on June 13th peacefully in her home due to complications from COPD. Leslie was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, but most importantly, a friend. Born in Sewickley, PA she was the first of four children to Constance and Benjamin Haines. She loved her Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins and cheered them on any chance she could. In Leslie's early years she was a Majorette for North Hills High School and did some modeling being featured on book covers and inspirational posters.

After working a few odd jobs, Leslie started her nearly 4-decade long career with the Federal Reserve Bank. She spent time in several different branches including Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. Leslie truly poured her heart into her work, advancing through many different positions and graduated Maryland Banking School. Through continuing her education, Leslie was initiated as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Fraternity.

Before graduating, Leslie met Daniel, they fell in love, married, and began their lives together. During their 32 years, Leslie and Daniel welcomed four children; Nicole Danielle, Casey Patrick, and the twins, Gretchen Elise and Duncan Leigh. Although she was working full time Leslie was always available for her children, whether it was her involvement in the PTA as the President, assisting with school functions like dressing up as McGruff the Crime Dog for an assembly, or carting them off to various sporting events and school activities. She was extremely supportive and proud of her children and was always the loudest person in the stands.

Leslie was able to fight long enough to see her oldest daughter, Nicole, bring life into the world. Her grandson, Loghan, affectionately refers to her as "Nini" and loves to spend time at PopPop and Nini's house watching movies and eating snacks. During Leslie's retirement she picked up the art of coloring and quickly became published. She also had a philanthropic soul which lead her to donate time and money to those in need. Leslie spent her last few years on earth surrounded by the people she loved and cherished the most, dreaming of the beach. She made a lifetime of memories and had a lasting impression with everyone she met. To know Leslie was a blessing and we are all better because of her love and support. She could light up a room with her beaming smile, warm personality, and willingness to help others.

Leslie was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Haines Sr. Survived by her mother, Constance Haines, her devoted and loving husband, Daniel, her four children, Nicole (Erick) Wireman, Casey, Gretchen, and Duncan (Tara), her grandchildren, Loghan and Lincoln Wireman, and her sweet dog, Jackson. Her surviving family includes her siblings, Tracey Moon, Benjamin Haines Jr., and Forrest Haines, along with many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Leslie's name. Leslie was an avid supporter after the loss of her father to Alzheimer's and Dementia.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home located at 4350 Dixie Highway Erlanger, KY 41018 on June 20th. Celebration to begin at 4 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m.
