Lida Sue Bishop

Lida Mae Susan Bishop (nee Kestel) passed away, Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the age of 81.
Lida was a very creative and talented person. She loved to sew and crochet. She was a beautician from 1955 until she returned to Scarlet Oaks in 1991 at the age of 55, to become a nurse. She worked in multiple nursing homes as a nurse for 7 years, taking care of many patients and doing their hair in the nursing home's beauty shop. She was the matriarch of our family. Lida was very involved in the Norwood Church of the Nazarene, and bible study. She was very assertive and had a sassy sense of humor.
Lida is survived by her husband, Cecil Bishop of Cincinnati; her three children, Duranda Daniel, Dani (Patricia Huber) Bishop and C. Rick Bishop; grandchildren, Brent (Summer) Noie, Rebecca Daniel, Regina Daniel; great-grandchildren Trent Noie, Khalin Noie and Kael Noie; sister, Betty (Ferd) Westermeyer; brothers, Harry "Mike" (Beverly) Bain, Steven Smith, and Gary Cook; also by many loved nieces and nephews. Lida was preceded in death by her loving parents, Roy B. Kestel and Tressie Kestel; sisters, Norma Haste and Emma Brown; brothers Jewell Kestel and Larry Cook; great-granddaughter Khloe Noie.
In loving memory of Lida, contributions may be made to Adams County Dog and Kennel Department, 11260 St Rt. 41West Union, OH 45693 or a charity of your choice in Lida's name.
Memorial Service will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, September 8, 2018 with a gathering from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Newcomer Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
