Lisa Parker Winans, 60, of Norwood passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2023.Lisa was born on March 28, 1963 to military parents, Joseph and Benda Parker. She was a beloved wife to Greg Winans.
Lisa graduated from Calvary Christian High School. She then received her BA from Wheaton College and her MBA from the University of Cincinnati. She started working at the Omni Netherland and moved on to the Bankers Club as Catering Sales Director. A company promotion sent her to Jacksonville FL for 8 years.
While residing in Florida Lisa became an avid Florida Gator football fan. She then moved back to Cincinnati to be with her nephews and niece .Once back in Cincinnati she worked for the Reds as a Suite Representative. She was very active in Up Downtowners while being an officer. There, she met her husband Greg Winans who fell in love with her the first time he laid eyes on her. It took Lisa some time to catch on but Greg and Lisa became football buddies (OSU & FL) and loved to go to as many games as they could. They started to fall in love with the help of her parent's prayers. In 2010 after 3-months of experimental dating Greg proposed to Lisa after an OSU Michigan game and he won twice that day.
Greg and Lisa were married for 13 wonderful years. They traveled to Europe, the Caribbean, out west to 4 national parks, and this year travel took them on a cruise to Alaska.
Lisa was a loving daughter, loving sister, a wonderful wife, and a caring Aunt. She loved animals, especially her two cats, Gator and Buckeye. She always had something to laugh about. She was adventurous and loved all the events going on in Cincinnati each year. Her most important trait was her Christianity and her love for Jesus. She will be sorely missed by her family and all of her friends.
Celebration of Life info for Lisa Parker Winans will be held at Crossroads Florence Chapel. Thursday, August 31 with visitation from 11-1 followed by the service at 1:00. Graveside service will be held at Highland Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cincinnati SPCA.
