LoRita Lawson was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 17, 1957 to the late Earl Chancellor and Lillie Kate David.
She proceeded in Cincinnati to develop a vigorous and active life as a child, teenager, and young woman. She graduated from Aiken High School in May, 1976 and immediately went to Southern Ohio College in Cincinnati, where she received an Associate's Degree in Business. She attended Jerriel Missionary Baptist Church.
LoRita was preceded in death by her loving mother, Lillie Kimble, and father, Earl Chancellor. She is survived by four children and thirteen grandchildren. Rita will remain cherished in the memories of those who survive her to include three daughters, LaShawna (Kevin) Cammon, Arleana Lawson, Sheritha (Dorian) Furr and one son, Christopher Lawson; thirteen grandchildren, Deashia English, Destiny English, Demetrius Warner, Brandi Scott, Curiah Harris, Damont Harris, Ava Carr, Christian Lawson, Christeana Lawson, Christopher Lawson, Jr., Danyla Morton, Shanyla Morton, and Jimere Furr; sister, Runae (Kenny) Howard; brother Jerome Chancellor; close cousins Tony and Cindy; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Ceremony will be 11:00 am Thursday, July 2, 2015 with a visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
