Whitaker and their families that include 10 great grandchildren and her sisters Elizabeth Kujawa, Delores Gaughan, and Teresa Yuri.
Lorraine was born in Baltimore, MD, on August 18, 1914, the eldest of a large family. In Baltimore she met and married her husband William "Bill" Whitaker; of 63 years. They moved to Cincinnati Ohio and called it home. She rejoins her husband's side in Rest Haven Cemetery, Cincinnati Ohio.
Lorraine was bold and generous of spirit. When she wasn't traveling with her husband; or busy crafting, she was most often found in the kitchen, preparing bountiful meals for friends and family or hosting card parties. You would never leave her home empty handed; she enjoyed imparting her handmade crafts. While she enjoyed traveling and was open to learning new cultures with her husband and friends; she equally enjoyed sharing those stories.
She had an immense love for her family and wanted the very best for each and every one. For this we come together to give our thanks and to honor and celebrate her life.
Memorials in Lorraine's name may be made to "Hospice Care of Kansas" that has provided loving service and care for the last three years.
