Louis Van DeLong, age 75, of Walton, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. He was born in Bedford, Ohio on September 22, 1945 to Victor and Maxine DeLong (nee Stoneking). Louis was a very fun loving jokester. He enjoyed cooking for friends and family and had a huge community of friends who were more like family. Louis had a heart of gold and would give his last cent to anybody who needed it. He was also a member of Auto Workers Union #1714 at General Motors in Lordstown, Ohio, where he worked for many years. He will be remembered most by his great sense of humor and always making his family and friends laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Deanna Hagans, James DeLong, and brother-in-law, Robert Weeks.
Louis is survived by his daughters, Michelle (Edward) DeLong-Carter, Melodi (Ron) DeLong-Howard; step-daughter, Kerri Thomas; granddaughters, Dara (Andy) DeLong, Danielle Smith, Amanda DeLong-Carter, Malina Howard, Marisa Howard; great-granddaughter, Brenna Hall; siblings, Phillip DeLong, Lois Weeks; sister-in-law, Karen DeLong; and a host of other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Post #0277 at a later date. There will also be an additional celebration in Ohio.
