Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend Margaret finished her journey on October 14, 2022, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret is lovingly remembered by her children Greg (Debbie) Himmler, John (Michelle) Zompero, Marie (Mark) Billiter, Joseph (Anita) Zompero, Thomas Zompero, Lara (Gary) Huismann, Anne (Justin) Schmidt, 17 grandchildren & 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter & Elizabeth (Nee Casey) Carroll, and her brothers William (Gloria) Carroll & Robert (Sharon) Carroll.
She is also survived by her loving sisters Eileen (Jim) Finan, Patricia (Don) Hoff, Kathleen (Richard) Stepaniak, Maureen (Don) Schapker, Judy (Jerry) Grayson, Joan (William)Frazer, Shelia (Norbert) Berauer, & numerous nieces & nephews.
Margaret was born and raised on "The Hill" in Mt. Adams she attended Holy Cross School and went on to high school at St. Xavier Commercial School in downtown Cincinnati. Eventually moving to Blue Jay, Ohio to be closer to her children, she never miss a chance to visit Mt. Adams with loved ones and reminisce about days gone by.
Margaret was truly dedicated to her family, she loved her children & grandchildren immensely. Margaret will always be remembered for her quick wit and her desire to feed one and all. She loved nature and the outdoors and was very proud of her heritage, never passing up the opportunity to brag about her Irish roots. Her life was a blessing. Her memory is a treasure. She is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati (45211) from 10:30 AM until the funeral service at 11:30 AM.
