Marguerite Mcreynolds

July 18, 1918 — July 17, 2012

Marguerite Atkinson was born July 18, 1918 to the union of the late Overton and Esther Atkinson (nee Ali). Her sister Anna Lee preceded her in death.

Marguerite was called home on July 17, 2012, one day short of 94 years.

Marguerite was born in Montgomery, AL where she lived for 8-10 years, after which her family moved to Cincinnati, OH. In 1935, Marguerite married James S. McReynolds in Montgomery AL.

In 1938, she and her new family returned to Cincinnati. To this union four children were born, James, Margretta, Joyce and Doris (deceased). She confessed Christ as her savior early in life and was a lifelong Christian and a member of Evergreen Baptist Church faithfully for many years. She later became a member of Zion Benevolent Baptist Church who's name later became Turning Point Church of Zion. She worked as a hair-dresser for approximately 10 years and later attended Cincinnati Public School of Practical Nursing, where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She retired from Children's Hospital after 20 plus years of service. After retiring from the hospital, Marguerite spent her time traveling, going to church, faithfully completing the crossword puzzles in the local paper, and at her club meetings where she played Pokeno with friends.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her children James S. McReynolds and wife Tisha of Rialto, CA; Margretta Smith, Joyce Taylor, her grandchildren Anthony McReynolds, Terrell Smith, Todd Smith, Cheryl Taylor, Kimberly Bell and her husband Henry of Alhambra, CA, Cathy Taylor, David Taylor and wife Diane, Gregory Evans, Carmen Evans, Karen Taylor, she leaves 11 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
