Marilyn (Sue) (Dykes) Brown was born in Harlan, Kentucky to Edith I. (Bone) Dykes and Oscar L. Dykes on July 7, 1943. She attended Our Lady of the Highland School. She passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017.
Marilyn's family moved to Cincinnati, where she continued her education in Cosmetology along with her life-long friend, Mary Ramsy. In the late sixties Marilyn went to work for the Babe Baker Corporation, managing numerous businesses. In the early seventies she met Tony Brown. They were married on June 15, 1985 and remained together until her death.
Marilyn was an avid reader of mystery novels who loved black and white movies and ballroom dancing.
Marilyn accepted the Lord Jesus Christ many years ago and held on to her faith through all her suffering. God gave her a gift. She was an inspiration to many who met her. Count me as her greatest fan, her husband of 32 years.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to mourn her passing, her beloved husband, William A. Brown; her niece, Gail (Black) Grubbs, who calls her "Mom"; and life long, true friend, Mary Ramsy. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
