Mark L. Fehrenbach, age 57 of Fairfield passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. He was born in Cincinnati on February 9, 1955 the son of Roy and Mary (Ohmer) Fehrenbach. He was a goldsmith and jeweler for over 35 years. Mark was a member of the Bonsai Society of Cincinnati, Raptor Inc., and a member of the Sacred Heart Church. He held a first degree black belt in karate, enjoyed landscaping his yard, home improvements, reading, magic, illusions, woodworking and carving, excellent jewelry designer and artist, former volunteer firefighter for Mt. Healthy, and a Cub Scout den leader. Mark was an Organ and Tissue donor in an effort to improve the quality of life of others. On September 24, 1977 in Mt. Healthy he was married to Debora Calhoun.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Debbie Fehrenbach of Fairfield; his daughter, Jenny Fehrenbach of Hamilton; his son, Scott Fehrenbach of Coshocton, Ohio; three sisters, Cindy Fehrenbach CDP of Melbourne, Kentucky, Debbie Fehrenbach of Cincinnati, and Shelly Gerde and her husband Dave of Cincinnati; two brothers, Michael Fehrenbach FSC of Chicago, Illinois and Eric Fehrenbach and his wife Amy of Hamilton, Ohio; one brother-in-law, Robert Calhoun of Fairfield; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother-in-law, Ricky Calhoun.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Sacred Heart Church, 400 Nilles Road, Fairfield, Ohio 45014 on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Father Larry Tharp, Celebrant officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will be held in Arlington Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231 on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
