Mark R."Scoob" Grant

Grant, Mark R. "Scoob", age 52 of Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Cincinnati, passed away on May 14, 2013 at the Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 8, 1960 in Cincinnati the son of William and Vera (Risk) Grant. He worked as a pole builder and machinist for Rose City Manufacturing for 18 years. On May 8, 1993 he married Armilda West.

He is survived by his wife Armilda Grant of Springfield, Ohio; his mother, Vera Grant of Springfield; three children, Samantha Grant of Maysville, Kentucky, Amanda Golden and her husband Mark of Springfield, Ohio, and Sheila Malone of Maysville, Kentucky; two step-children, Amanda Smith of Cincinnati, and Kelly Scott Smith of Cincinnati; four siblings, William Grant and his wife Cindy, John Grant, Elizabeth Cunningham and her husband Daryl, and Cecelia Watson, all of Springfield, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, William Grant; and his brother, Michael Grant.

Graveside service will be held at Crown Hill Memorial Park, 11825 Pippin Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231, on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 2:15 pm with Father Jim Meade, Celebrant. Visitation will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm.
