Mary Bell Lainhart

Mary "Cookie" Bell Lainhart, age 75, of Burlington, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. She was born in Kenton County, Kentucky on April 5, 1948 to the late Rollan and Ruby Brackett (nee Freeman).

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Orville Lainhart and sister, Peggy Brackett. Cookie is survived by her beloved son, Randy Lainhart; cherished siblings, Cinda (Jack) Louden, Lonnie (Mary) Brackett, Ruby (the late Arthur) Ranes, Rollan (Terri) Brackett, Jr., Dianne (Dean) Portwood and Ronnie (Penny) Brackett; and a host of other family members and friends.

Cookie loved spending time in her garden and was immensely proud of it. She enjoyed taking photos of wildlife and nature. She also excelled at baking and enjoyed sharing her treats with others. She was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church for almost 25 years. She worked at Boone County Schools as a para-educator working with children with disabilities and they loved spending time with "Miss Mary". Cookie will be remembered as a giving person who was loved by all who knew her.

In loving memory of Cookie, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital at www.stjude.org. A visitation will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm with a service to follow at Immanuel Baptist Church - Florence, 7183 Old Pleasant Valley Way, Florence, KY 41042. Burial will take place immediately after at Belleview Baptist Cemetery.
