Mary Rich Cox (nee Marshall), age 98, of Florence, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021. She was born in Williamstown, Kentucky on October 30, 1922.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Marshall and Susie Marshall (nee Milner), and husbands James Rich and Erwin Cox.
She enjoyed crafts, cards, shopping, and casinos. She loved to travel and was fortunate to travel all over the world. She was a longtime member of the Ft. Mitchell Baptist Church and member of several social and charitable organizations including: Edgewood Homemakers, Kenton Heights Homemakers, Kenton Heights Women's Club, New Friends of Northern Kentucky, Beta Psi – supports St. Jude Hospital, Florence Women's Club, Golden Age Social Club, Booth Hospital Women's Auxiliary, Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association.
Mary is survived by her sons, Gary (Karen) Rich, James (Maureen) Rich; 5 grandchildren, Robert (Regina) Rich, Todd Rich, Amy (Chris) Derry, Pam (Brett) Blackwell, Stacey Rich (Craig Grabow); 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Patricia Cantrell; and other family members and friends.
Visitation for Mary will take place on Wednesday September 29, 2021 at Fort Mitchell Baptist Church, 2323 Dixie Hwy, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017, from 10:30 A.M. to 12 P.M. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. Burial will take place at Independence Cemetery.
