Mary Souders

Mary K. Souders, 82, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2022 in her home. She went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she loved. She was born June 1, 1940, the daughter of Cliff and Mary (Friday) Houston. She is preceded in death by her siblings Paul, Arthur, Peggy, and her identical twin sister Martha (Ken) Lay.

She was the beloved mom of Natalie (Timothy) Lotspeich, loving grandma of Felisha (Mike), Karen (Jamie), Raychel (David), Rebekah (Joey), Dylan, and Adam, and loving great-grandma of Ella, Finley, Grant, Eli, Hudson, Meredith, Elena, Jesse, Isaiah, and Inez.

Mary was the first single woman in Ohio to adopt a child. She served faithfully at her church for 50 years. She worked at Proctor and Gamble for 40 years. She loved cars, especially orange and yellow ones. She adored her dog, Benji.

Mary's family would like to invite her friends and loved ones to a luncheon in her honor on Sunday, October 9th at 12 pm at Evendale First Church of God, 3853 Glendale Milford Rd. Cincinnati, Ohio 45241. Visitation will be from 1 - 3 pm followed by a service. A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, October 10th at 10 am at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 10209 Plainfield Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45241. Please wear her favorite color, orange, to honor her and her joy for life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be used to plant a memorial garden for her.
