Mary Florence Stephens, age 84, of Glencoe, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 14, 1937 to Samuel and Mattie Godbey (nee Warren).
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jeffrey Stephens, husband and father of her 7 children, Doyal Stephens, siblings, Johnny Ray Godbey, Delores (the late Joe) Vest, Roy (the late Anna Marie) Godbey, Coy (the late Mary) Godbey and Virtress Godbey. Mary is survived by her beloved children, Veronica Bishop, Connie (Thomas) Pyke, Theresa (Lawrence) Wallen, Timothy Stephens, Angela (James) Reynolds and Kimberly (Terry) Nobles; grandchildren, Kelley Foltz, Stacey Eisner, Raymond Foltz, Elizabeth Foltz, Jessica Waid, Kelsey Pyke, Mary Rose Wallen, Bridgette James, Mannan Wallen, Hillary Murphy, Daniel Stephens, Amanda Stephens, Anthony Challis, Payton Challis, Ericka Banks, Casey Reynolds, Michael Nobles and Owen Nobles; 45 great-grandchildren; siblings, Edward (the late Marty) Godbey, Harold (the late Artie) Godbey, Charlotte (Marty) Irwin; sister-in-law, Ellen Godbey; and a host of other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm followed by a service at Oakland Baptist Church, 4967 Rt. 455 Sparta, KY 41086. Burial will take place immediately following at Napoleon Cemetery in Warsaw, KY.
