Mary Kathleen Streithorst
December 8, 1928 — October 30, 2021
Mary Kathleen Streithorst, (nee Jeffers), age 92, of Western Hills , passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021.
She is the beloved mother-in-law of Angela Streithorst and devoted grandmother of Daniel Streithorst, Eric (Christina) Streithorst and Cara Streithorst. She is the loving great-grandma of Lexie. She is the aunt of many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She had several cousins. She had many great friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin F. Streithorst, sons, Richard and Randy, and daughter-in-law, Rose Streithorst.
Kathleen and Mel loved to travel and go on casino trips, made sure everyone in the family had a birthday party. She loved to bake and make desserts, she had such a sweet tooth. She like to be the holiday host, Christmas Day. Some people may remember seeing her giving out samples in the local grocery stores. When Mel and Kathleen became engaged, she was a stenographer. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. Kathleen was a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Ladies Sodality, Green Twp Seniors, and neighborhood women's card clubs.
Visitation with be Thursday, November 4, 2021, in the Gathering Space of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Westwood, 9:30 AM until the Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Old Cemetery. At the family's request, please wear a mask while in the church building.
In lieu of flowers and plants, in loving memory of Kathleen, contributions may be made to Ron Rabe Christmas Fund at Oak Hills Local School District, 6325 Rapid Run Rd, Cincinnati (45233). Make Checks payable to Ron Rabe Christmas Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
