Megan Mathis, age 37, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away in Denver, Colorado on Monday, July 29, 2024 while on a business trip. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 5, 1986 to Timothy L and Kathleen M Mathis (nee Bross).
She was preceded in death by her father, Tim. Megan is the beloved daughter of Kathy Mathis, and the devoted sister of Angela (Phil) Wira, Sonia (Brian) Franklin, Lauren Mathis and Kelli Mathis. She adored her nieces and nephews, Zachary, Dylan, Breanna, Samantha, Alyssa and Xavier.
Megan has been a part of the TQL family for nearly 10 years. In that time, she touched the lives and hearts of thousands, yes thousands, being a part of the Human Resources team. She was the guiding light for a team of leaders when they needed to look to someone for advice. She was the first to recognize everyone’s achievements whether it be family, career, or personal goals with genuine excitement and celebration. Her compassion and strength gave so many comfort as life’s challenges presented hurdles along the way. Her laugh was contagious and she found humor in all that Human Resources has to offer. The TQL team will forever remember her dramatic readings of favorite stories that became an annual tradition. The Team laughed until they cried. They will be forever thankful for those memories.
Megan has set an example for all of us to live boldly and bravely with life and love. She’s shown us why the extra mile may be the most meaningful for those we cherish. She will continue to be the guiding light for many as we ask ourselves “what would Megan do?” The answer will always be the right way. The way that moves us forward with appreciation for lessons learned in the past. The way that pushes us through the doubt and leads us to confidence. She led everyone at TQL in this way. In memory and honor of Megan, her TQL family will always ask themselves “what would Megan do?”
