Melissa Ann Jones

Melissa Ann "Missy" Jones, 34, of Independence, Kentucky passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020. She was born in Covington, Kentucky on March 13, 1986 to Kim P. Jones and Laura C. Jones.

Missy worked in Sales for many years, she also was the former owner of The Dawg Shack a restaurant in Batavia. During her time at Dixie Heights High School she made the Who's Who of High School Students and the Deans List. She also won two National Cheer Leading Championships.

She was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandfather, Doyle Hatton, Paternal Grandmother, Margie Ann Reardon.

Missy is survived by her beloved children son, Quinton Jones and daughter, Chloe Byrd; mother, Laura Colleen (Dan Hedger) Jones; father, Kim Patrick (Susan Kraus) Jones; maternal grandmother, Patricia Ann Huston; paternal grandfather, Donald Reardon; half-brother, Dylan Jones, step-sister, Laura Hedger, step-brother, Ricky Kraus and step-sister, Misty Garcia as well as a host of other extended family members and friends all of whom will hold her memory near to their hearts.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 8, 2020 with a visitation from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky
