Michael Joseph Asher, age 78, of Taylor Mill, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. He was born in Newport, Kentucky on August 31, 1945 to Arbert and Ollie "Ruth" Asher (nee Cook). Mike was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was the best joke teller and always had a fun mind game ready to tell. Mike enjoyed the WEBN fireworks every summer, watching western movies, and was a great bowler. His family remembers most his skill in being captain of every vacation. He always had the cars packed and ready to go with CB radios to communicate across multiple cars. he did a great job for every vacation getting everyone loaded and ready to go. His favorite place to vacation was the beach, the mountains or the countryside. Most of all, Mike loved to dance. Him and his forever dance partner and wife, Jean, were amazing dancers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Asher, father, Arbert Asher, mother, Ollie "Ruth" Asher, sister, Nellie Asher, brother, Ronnie Asher, brother, Donnie Asher, sister, Mel Asher. Mike is survived by his, daughter, Donna (James) Groves, daughter, Jamie (Alex) Runion, daughter, Maria (Scott) Clark, son, Michael (Nancy) Asher, Jr., sister, Kitty Short, sister, Tabitha Hall, brother, Rennie Asher, brother, Jerry Asher, sister, Helen Asher Millians, sister, Sherie Gruber, 13 Grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. Burial will take place immediately following at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
