Michael R. Mullins

Michael Ray Mullins, age 72, of Walton, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024. Born on November 16, 1951, in Dayton, Kentucky, he was the son of Mitchell and Media Mullins (née Hickey).

Michael had a deep love for the outdoors and a special fondness for animals, particularly wolves. He cherished his visits to the Smoky Mountains and relished the time spent in their cabins, surrounded by nature.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Media Mullins, and his sisters, Bonnie Hornsby, Opal McClanhan, and Mae Creekmore. Michael is survived by his beloved daughter, Heather (Brandy) Scott; son, Shane (Sara) Mullins; and sisters, Bea Taylor, Wanda Sprague, and Sharon Ginn. He will also be remembered by his grandchildren, Sterling Scott, Ivan Mullins, Mia Scott, and Cyrus Mullins, as well as niece Terry Vanarsdale and ex-wife Mary Ann Mullins. He leaves behind a host of other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
