Michael Alan Pigg, 54, died on January 3, 2023 surrounded by his wife, Jessica, and close friends. He was born on March 12, 1968 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Reverend Larry H. Pigg and Nancy Louise Pigg (Wacker), nearly two years to the day after his sister, Melissa.
Michael graduated from Walnut Hills High School where, among other things, he played tennis and soccer, two sports he loved teaching his daughters. After graduating, Mike attended the University of Wooster before returning home to start a lifelong career in the restaurant business, a job that combined both his amazing people skills and his love of food.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica (Esemplare) and the lights of his life, daughters Madeline and Charlotte. Mike was preceded in death by his sister Melissa (Collinsworth), mother Nancy, and father Larry. There are also numerous, loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will deeply miss his kindness, sense of humor, and devotion.
His memory will be honored on January 17, 2023 at Compass Christian Church, 6771 Tylersville Rd. in Mason. Visitation starts at 10 a.m. followed by services at noon. Masks are encouraged but not required. However, if you are sick or unable to come, please join us on Zoom.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to
Hamilton County Special Olympics which he co-coached with his friend Mark for many years or the
Inner Cincinnati Soccer Academy, which provides athletic opportunities to local children. There is also a GoFundMe set up to assist Michael's family with his medical expenses.
Michael's service will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time.
