Michael Patrick Sexton, aged 53, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away suddenly after a very unexpected and short battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was surrounded by family as he passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 15th, 2024 at 10:53am. He was born on December 11, 1971, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Ronald K. Sexton and Linda F. Sexton (nee Burt). Michael was diagnosed with incurable stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer that had metastasized, shortly before Thanksgiving earlier this year.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Ronald Sexton, his brother Christopher Sexton, his uncles Gene and Pat Burt, his aunt Hope Tucker, and his great-great-niece Arial Kay Bowling.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Sexton, two sisters Rhonda Geil (Gerry) and Valerie Sexton; as well as his five daughters, Alexis Wuebbling (Andrew), Jessica Ford (Bryan), Raven Tritt, Sydney Tritt, and Gabrielle Tritt. Michael was a proud and much beloved grandfather to Braxton Daniel, Colten Dean, Aaron Jacob, Elizabeth Renee, Emberley Faith, Lucas Atlas, Reese Bryan, and Violet Rae. He was a phenomenal uncle, and also played the role as a father figure to many nephews and nieces alike, and will be missed immensely by numerous other family members and friends, near and far.
Through most of his life, Michael had an affinity for muscle cars, proudly owning several Chevy Nova's among others, in an ever-growing collection. He was a concert connoisseur and music fanatic, spending much of his free time at shows, traveling, buying new guitars, or at band practice with his nephews and friends. Michael was also a part of a small local band called Sonic Temple, and was a very gifted musician, often switching between guitar, drums, and bass. Some may not know, but Michael was an introvert and often disliked being in crowds, as well as having his pictures taken. He is often described as being a kind-hearted and gentle soul. He was soft-spoken, quick to forgive, and so full of empathy and love to go around. In his earlier years, he was a member of Elders marching band and was a gifted trumpeter, he also enjoyed traveling the United States with his children and other family members, in search of gem mines and Cherokee Indian artifacts. He shared this love for nature and hand-crafting with his daughters and grandchildren, who look back very fondly on these memories with him! He had a HUGE heart and will continue to hold a very special place in all of our lives.
