Michael Alan Wirth, age 68, of Erlanger, Kentucky, passed away on November 18, 2024. Born on July 20, 1956, in Covington, to Elmer and Florence (Niemer) Wirth. Michael proudly served his country as a member of the Marine Corps, and he dedicated many years to his role as a rural mail carrier with the United States Postal Service, where he was known for his commitment, kindness, and the occasional saving of a life.
A passionate music lover, Mike could often be found enjoying his favorite tunes, and singing along with the people who brought him joy in Apartment B. He was an enthusiastic supporter of UK sports, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Cincinnati Reds. Above all, Mike cherished time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren creating lasting memories with his family.
Mike is preceded in death by his father, Elmer Wirth; mother, Florence Wirth; siblings Steve Wirth, Margaret Huff, Rita Gorley, and Tom Wirth; and his daughter, Billie Jo Mize. He is survived by his beloved wife, Canis Wirth (Cox); son Adam (Patrice) Wirth; daughter Jordan (Patrick) Mize; grandson Beau Wirth; granddaughter Aven Wirth; and siblings Mary Clark, Marty Wirth, Gary Wirth, Jim Wirth, and Vinny Wirth, along with numerous other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to UC Liver Center or Kenton County Animal Shelter.
A visitation will be held Friday, November 22, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a celebration of life beginning at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, 4350 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, KY 41018.
