Michelle Ann Slageter
August 25, 1961 — July 16, 2022
Michelle Ann Slageter, age 60, of Western Hills, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 25, 1961 to Jess and Suzanne Fronk (nee Mathis).
Michelle was the high school sweetheart and beloved wife of Ronald Slageter for 41 years
Michelle lived for her family, friends and students. Michelle was a super volunteer dedicated to making sure kids got the best Catholic education possible. From St. Martin PTO candy sale chair and parish festival co-chair to OLL lunchroom Mom to LaSalle Spirit Shop, Athletic concessions, Development, Admissions and Campus Ministry, Michelle worked tirelessly for her kids - thousands of them over the past 25 years.
She was a Bless Our Children Board member for nearly a decade, helping families earn money toward tuition working concessions at the Reds, Bengals and Heritage Bank Arena events. She was also a 20-plus year Dance Mom at Judy Link School of Dance, altering and repairing costumes and helping with costume changes at the annual Dance recital and show team events. And she never took a paycheck - she wanted every penny to go for the kids, helping raise over a million dollars throughout her volunteer career.
She was truly "called to serve" and was most fond of her LaSalle kids - she considered every Lancer young man as one of her own and provided food, drinks and motherly advice or scolding, as needed. Every year she was invited to numerous graduation parties and took great pride in watching those boys turn into young men.
She was an avid basketball and football fan and loved her Lancers, the Bengals and the Golden State Warriors.
Michelle is the loving mother of Michael Slageter and Rebecca (Dylan) Vale. She is survived by her father, Jess Fronk, and her siblings, Debbi (Deron) Dickey and Tom (Lori) Fronk. Michelle was preceded in death by her mother and her niece, Lizzie Dickey.
Visitation will be in the Chapel of LaSalle High School, Tuesday, July 26, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. PLEASE park in the back and enter through the Court Yard.
Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 10:30 AM in St. Martin of Tours Church, Cheviot.
Private burial will follow.
