Mildred Heisel

HEISEL, Mildred, age 88, of Woodlawn, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. She was born on June 30, 1925 in Crawfordville, Georgia to the late Henry Lee Hill and Annie Mae (Cody) Hill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Hill; granddaughter Johnise Massey. Mildred is survived by her beloved husband of 26 years, David H. Heisel Sr.; children, David H. Heisel Jr. (Regina) of West Chester, Ohio, Sidney "Dozzie" Johnson, Patricia Heisel of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Carol Heisel of Los Angeles, California; brother-in-law, Louis Heisel Sr. (Ann); sister-in-law, Juanita Boyd; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; siblings, Willie Cody (Lavon), Lucille Cody, Mary Thomas, Doretha Thurman (Eddie); special niece, Darlene Baldwin; special granddaughter, Latasha Ann Heisel; godson, LaMarque Ward Sr.; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.

She was employed as a Nurse's Aide for many years. She also worked as a private duty nurse for family and church members. She spent her entire career as a care-giver serving members of her church. She liked to cook for family and friends, participate in special activities, and loved her Bengals.

Mildred was an active member and donated faithfully to Truth Temple Church of God, also serving as a Church Mother, and Missionary. She worked years in the church kitchen.
