Mildred Irene Tinker

Tinker, Mildred Irene age 71, of Springfield Township, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. She was born in Harveysburg, Ohio on January 28, 1944 to Earl and Cora Gentry (nee Weisenberger).

On November 12, 1973, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Leon Tinker.

Mildred was a member of the Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She and her husband Leon attended church faithfully before their health declined. She worked at several places including The Golden Lamb which is also where she met her husband. Then she became a stay at home mom to her granddaughter Christy.

She was the devoted sister to Bonnie Campbell (Harry), Ruth Brock (Mike) and Earl Gentry, Jr.

She loved her family and friends, animals, gardening, cooking and Elvis. She enjoyed her great grand cats and watching Family Feud and the cooking channel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Tinker; parents, Earl Gentry, Sr. and Cora Gentry, son, Robert Bailey, Jr and brother Ronnie Gentry. Mildred is survived by her beloved children, Lisa Fueston and Marsha (James) Dalton; grandchildren, Christy J Fueston, Amanda Telinda, Robert Bailey, III, Jessica Bailey, Beverly Dalton, and Courtney Burton; great grandchildren, Peyton Telinda, Andrew Dalton, Abbigail Dalton, Alexis Dalton, Jacob Ligon and Josiah Matney; and a host of other family members and friends.

She will truly be missed but her legacy will never be forgotten.


Funeral Ceremony will be 11:00 am Tuesday, August 4, 2015 with a visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
