Rains, Mildred Margaret age 77, of Covington, Kentucky passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022. She was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on September 7, 1944 to the late Clofus and Clara Johnson (nee Davis).
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joe Edd Rains. Mildred is survived by her beloved children, Donna (Wayne) Davidson and Keith (Donna) Rains; grandchildren, Cody Cooper, Cory Cooper, Cameron Rains, Caiden Rains and Bella Rains; siblings, Steve (Janie) Johnson and Sue Brooks; niece, Claire Morgan; and a host of other family members and friends.
She served as Code Enforcement Director for the City of Covington for 32 years. After retiring, she served as City Commissioner for several years. Mildred enjoyed cooking and spending quality time with her family.
A visitation will be held Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.
