Nancy Ann Davis

February 2, 1947 — June 11, 2022

Nancy Ann Davis was born to Luberta Gordon and Dandy Williams, Sr. on February 2,1947 in Mobile, Alabama. Nancy received her high school education. Nancy watched and learned from her mother and father, and was often in awe of the strong family values that were put in place. She gave her life to Christ early on. Her love for God was shown in her actions and deep care of whoever she encountered in life .

Nancy Davis met her high school sweetheart, Ralph Earl Davis, Sr., at Trinity Garden High School in Mobile. The love they had for each other was unexplained. Nancy moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in the late 1960's to join her late sister, Flora Dungy. Ralph joined her there soon after, and they wed. From this blessed union they produced three children - Terry, Ralph, Jr, and Andrea.

Nancy was a hardworking woman known and loved by many in the community. She worked at Big Louie's Restaurant, and supervised and managed Alexander's Restaurant and Lounge for many years. Realizing her passion for care giving, Nancy later started her own at-home daycare where she nurtured her grandchildren and many other families' children. Her genuineness and compassion were a joy to admire. Nancy was a wonderful person; her smile and welcoming home were both infectious, and her cooking and matriarchal energy helped many.

Although Nancy's membership at New Mission Missionary Baptist Church was brief due to illness, she had a true zest about becoming a member of the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Lee Carl Fails; her sister, Flora Dungy, and her sister, Theresa Lewis. Nancy departed her earthly life on Saturday, June 11th, 2022 with her loved ones by her side until God took her hand and told her, "Job well done, my good and faithful servant".

She leaves to cherish her memory her very loving children, Terry (Kim), Ralph Jr. (Karen), and Andrea. She also leaves her 4 brothers - Dandy Jack (Vivian) Williams, Tommie Lee (Maxine) Williams, Dennis (Kathy) Fails, and Edward Charles Fails, as well as her sister, Irma Dee (Walter) Holland. Additionally, she leaves her 14 devoted grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, greats, cousins, other family, and special friends.

To say that Nancy's legacy will live on is an understatement. Her habits, generosity, beliefs, and lessons will always be missed, but never forgotten.

Funeral ceremony will be held at New Prospect Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 22 at 11:00 am, with a visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Interment to immediately follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery.
