Nathan Thomas Rice was born December 24, 1947 in Versailles, Kentucky to the union of Forrest Rice and the late Teady Thurman Rice. From the union, he was the third oldest of fourteen siblings, Nathan was known as "Boss Hog".
Nathan for a longtime was employed at Southwestern Ohio Steel. He was a machine operator for 40 years. In his leisure time Nathan loved watching western movies, fishing, hunting, playing the guitar, listening to oldies, collecting guns and knives. He was a member of the Road Runners motorcycle club. He also was a diehard New England Patriots fan as well as LA Lakers.
Nathan found Christ an early age at Israel Baptist Church. He was very unselfish and a generous man. He was generous with his time giving to anyone needing a helping hand. He was very humorous and loved by everyone who knew him. He will be dearly missed by all.
Nathan departed this life unexpectedly on October 8, 2011. Nathan is survived by his father Forrest (Clavilia) Rice. He will be sadly missed by his beautiful six children NaTisse, Shawn, Kelli, Tasha, Teela, and Nathan Garett; three grandchildren, Jashay, MarTisse and Jahmir; four brothers, Frank, Lawrence (Carol), Gary (Lisa), Steve, and Leamon; four sisters, Doris (Toby Sr.), Leona, Alicia, and Lita Rae "Pebbles"; three aunts, Mary, Jenny, and Josephine. Special relatives Harold (Myrtle) Granville and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
Nathan was preceded in death by six brothers, Forrest Jr., DeWayne, Paul, Leonard "Bogie", Charles, Jeffrey; sister, Pauline. He leaves to cherish a lifetime friend Deborah Davidson and will reunite with the late Dolores Rice.
