Nelda May (Sprague) Vahlsing of Bromley, passed peacefully on June 1, 2022. She had just celebrated her 97th Birthday.
Nelda was born May 9, 1925 to Ralph and Anna (Humprey) Sprague, of Taylorsport, Kentucky. She was a Hebron High School Graduate, and World War II bride in 1944 to Cpl. Robert Warren Vahlsing, who served in the South Pacific. She and Robert loved each other for 71 years. They had one child, Michael Warren Vahlsing; wife Diana (Schneider) Vahlsing and two grandsons: Brandon Michael Vahlsing and Blake Warren Vahlsing and wife, Sarah (Coombs) Vahlsing: two grandchildren: Luke and Abby Vahlsing.
Nelda worked for 32 years as a Kenton County Cafeteria Manager for Bromley Elementary, and later was the first manager for the new River Ridge Elementary. Her greatest joy was her many family sea cruises and trips to Hawaii over the years.
Per her wishes, gravesite services were held for family at Hebron Lutheran Cemetery.
