Nikki Romero Peña: It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing the sudden death of our Angel Nikki.
Nikki was born on September 10, 2009 to Monique Peña and Kevin Romero. Nikki was a 6th grader at Gray Middle School in Kentucky. Nikki loved playing Video games and Skyping with her uncle Robert and great-grandmother Alice, she also loved playing with her little sister Katie. Nikki will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her mother: Monique Peña and baby sister: Katie Farrell Peña, grandfather: Roy Ortiz, great-grandparents: Victor Nestor and Marcella Martinez.
She is survived by her father: Kevin Romero and paternal-grandparents: Frances and Jose Salazar, great-grandparents: Alice Romero and Chris Montoya, special great-uncle: Robert Romero, aunt: Stacy Romero (Justin), uncle: Evin Romero, great-uncle: Lorenzo and Monica Romero, maternal-grandparents: Frank and Lisa Peña, uncles: Daniel Peña and Francisco Peña, Nikki is also survived by many great aunts and uncles, her first cousin: Hailie Smith, numerous other relatives and friends.
Rosary service will be recited on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 7:00pm at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 9:00am also at Immaculate Conception Church with Father George V. Salazar as Celebrant.
Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM with the following serving as Pallbearers, Robert Romero, Kevin Romero, Evin Romero, Jose Salazar, Richard Romero, and Lorenzo Romero. Honorary Bearers will be, Justin Smith. Jazmine Romero and Stacy Romero.
