Pam Tolliver, better known as Mom or Grammy, even to those not related to her, taught so many, so much in her 60 years here.
On May, 1, 2018, Mom's work here was done. Mom's greatest happiness came from her kids, biological and "borrowed," as she called our friends, cousins, boyfriends/ girlfriends, and anyone else we brought home. Some of her more memorable lessons included: "Why stress about things you can't control?" "If they're talking about you, they're leaving someone else alone." And one of my more recent favorites, "They'll smack you for a buck." On any given day, you could stop by Mom's and find her working in her garden, experimenting with new recipes, or doing some crazy DIY project. In other words, she was pretty much a super hero.
Mom leaves behind six blessed kids: Sarah (Mulligan) Worley, Kate Mulligan, Abbey Mulligan, Meggi Mulligan, Joseph Tolliver, and Ethan Tolliver, as well as her mother, Jackie (Gifford) Brewer, her father, Tom Brewer Sr., two brothers, Tom Brewer Jr. and Travis Brewer, six adored grandkids, and at least 1000 books. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her and anyone who profits from the sale of White Castles.
Mom insisted on a "party," not "funeral, so we will celebrate her life on Sunday, May 6, 2018, from 3-6 p.m. at Yesterday's at Four Seasons, located at 4609 Kellogg Avenue in Cincinnati, OH. All are welcome.
