Quintero, Edward age 75, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 17, 1943 to Alex and Mary Quintero (nee Luna).
He was preceded in death by his father, Alex Quintero; mother, Mary Quintero; brother, Alex Quintero Jr.; and his beloved wife of 51 years, Consuelo Quintero. Edward is survived by his children, Edward (Kimberly) Quintero , Jr., Andrew (Suzanne) Quintero, ReGina (Terence) Crowe, and Dionne D (Jermale) Owens; sister, Sara (Ed) Martinez; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members, congregation, and friends.
Edward served in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1967. He was the pastor of Iglesia Apostolica Hispana. Pastor Quintero has been a pastor for 31 years. He was baptized in Jesus Name at Apostolic Church of Barberton in Barberton, OH in 1968 under Pastor Nelson Pamer. In 1975 his job transferred him to Indianapolis, Indiana. There he attended The Lawrence Apostolic Church under Elder Harold Hunt. He received the Holy Ghost at the time with the evidence of speaking in tongues. He held credentials with the United Pentecostal Church Inc., under Superintendent Ursham.
In 1979 the Lord called him to work with the Hispanic people. That was the beginning of the Iglesia Apostolica Hispana. The lord led him to the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World with Bishop James Tyson being his mentor. He was Ordained in the Indiana District on April 21, 2004. After working in Indianapolis 21 years, the Lord called him to go help the Hispanic division of Cincinnati, OH. He joined the Ohio council under the leadership of Bishop Paul Bowers. He was ordained into the Ohio Council on August 14, 2007.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 25, 2018 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. Funeral Ceremony will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Greater Emanuel Apostolic Temple, 1150 West Galbraith Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 followed by his final resting place at Crown Hill Memorial Park.
