Patricia Ann Stephens III (Bostic), (Lloyd Stephens III preceded her in death) was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in the Walnut Hills/Evanston Community, to her loving parents (Father) Eddie Bostic and (Mother) Beatrice E. Bostic (Johnson), who have both preceded her in death.
Patricia ("Pat" to family and close friends and "Me Mudder' to her children which she called her bouncy baby girl and bouncing baby boy) Patricia is survived by her daughter Min. Sheri L. Brown, (Julius/son-in-law preceded her in death), her son Pastor Courtier' J. Stephens (Nicole), grand-children Ebonie N. Bostic, ( Honestee Cheatham), (Moriyah, Mikeil, and Makir). She is also survived by her eldest sister Dolores J. Lindsay (Arthur). Her brother Sidney E. Bostic has preceded Patricia in death, and a host of family and friends.
Patricia attended Assumption and St. Mark's elementary schools and went on to Central High (later named Courter Tech) and had not completed her high school education at that time. Many years later she returned to school and received her G.E.D and Bachelor Degree. She obtained a variety of job skills that eventually led her to the Hamilton County Job and Family Services where she became a great asset to the Agency and to the many people that were in need of her expert skills in preparation for employment.
Patricia loved her family, music, dancing, and was a movie buff. She also enjoyed those cable cooking shows and home improvement shows as well as the animal channel. She was a passionate and eager Mary Kay Consultant and truly enjoyed making people look and feel their best.
She had a personal nick-name of "Happy Feet" given to her by her daughter because she was always on the move. If you blinked you would surely miss her. Her laughter was so contagious, as well as her wrath if anyone crossed the line. But she had a heart of gold and was there for her family and her friends when they needed her.
Patricia had a couple of sayings, "I Got You" or " I Got This" or Let me add the one and carry the two", or "Too-ta-lou" as she threw that pointing finger at you. She also had a saying when she had a hard day at work. She would make the statement, "I'm being treated like a Hebrew slave", and when it was time to go anywhere she would say, " I'm getting ready to Stick and Move."
Patricia had a sense of humor also, for example when her son asked her if she had "Closed Caption", Patricia told him "yes" and she had him walk up to the television and she told him to look real close and then she told him to get closer and closer at the screen and then she started laughing and asked him was that the closed caption he was looking for. Patricia was known for her quick wit because she knew how to make people laugh.
Patricia loved the Lord and accepted "The Lord Jesus Christ" as her personal Lord and Saviour. (Romans 10:9-13). Patricia as well as some of the family were raised in the Catholic faith, and she always knew and acknowledged God, but in her latter years she claimed "The Lord" with a boldness and zeal.
She supported both her children as they grew in grace and in their various ministries and she would share the experience with whomever she came into contact with. God had His hand all over her.
