Patricia Ann Powers, 86, went to Jesus with family at her side on February 17, 2023 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Patty was born in Cincinnati to Alice Kuhn and Edward Reynolds on April 11, 1936. Patty was the first of two wonderful daughters, the other being Mary Alice who was born about four years later. The sisters were very close and loving of each other.
Patty and Bob Schmid married in January 1955. Their first child was Valerie Louise (Capano) Schmid born in November 1955, and then Karl John Schmid born August 1958. Patty graduated from Seton High School in 1954.
Patty is survived by her daughter Valerie Capano (Jimmy), grandsons, James Taylor, Kyle Capano, Brandon Capano, sister Mary Alice Frederick, and nieces, Tracy and Sherry, Mary Alice Lonneman (Rick). Patty is preceded in death by her son Karl John Schmid, and her second husband, Bob Powers.
Patty was "Someone who loved everyone". She taught her family about real forgiveness. A little known fact; Patty could qualify for the Guinness Book of World Records by the number of pictures of Jesus throughout her house. That is what Patty was about. What an example she was for everyone.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 2, 2023 at St Martin of Tours Church, Cheviot, from 10:00 AM until the funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery.
