Patsy Mincey was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 21, 1947 to the union of the late Fred Brown Sr. and Lessie Mae Jenkins. Patsy graduated from Princeton High School and then became a dedicated employee at Owens Illinois until her health failed her.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was known for cooking the world's best spicy chili, hosting some of the best card parties you can imagine, and showering love on everyone around her. In Millvale, where she raised her four children, she was known as the "Mother of Millvale".
Patsy was preceded in death by her loving parents, Fred Sr. and Lessie Mae; three siblings, Fred, Billy and Shirley; and one best friend, Otis Chapman. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Dudley H. Mincey Sr.; one daughter, Micki (Adrian); three sons, Dudley, Andrey, and Dontae Mincey; eight sisters, Anne Fuqua (Robbie), Leslie Cromer, Doris Best (Marcus), Alice Jones, Tracy Buchanan, Erica Buchanan, Carol Jean Landrum, and Patricia Brown; eight brothers, Larry Brown, Donald Jenkins (Reesie), Roger Buchanan, Anthony Buchanan, Stevie Buchanan (Leona), Cornell Buchanan, Daryl Buchanan, and John Buchanan (Deborah); sister- in- law, Betty J. Mincey; brother-in- laws, Robert (Caroletha), Willie (Darlene), Michael, Matthew Sr. (Katie), Mark (Mary), Luke (Laura) and Brenda Mincey; one sister-in- law from Brunswick, Georgia, Cecelia Johnson; eighteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four God children; and a host of nieces and nephews.
