Philip R. Clay sadly transitioned on Sunday, November 17, 2024, in Fort Thomas, KY. Philip was a loving husband, father, stepfather, son and friend. His smile emitted a warmth like no other. He loved watching sports, eating barbecue and cracking a sly joke every now and then. His humor, kindness and candor will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Clay and Margaret (Viola) Hickland (Garr) and his brother Edwin R. Clay.
Philip is survived by his wife Rhonda S. Ball, daughter, Jamila Clay, Dublin, CA, stepchildren, James A. Wade (Dominique Surles), Dayton, Ohio, Taryn R. Finley (Jordan Taylor), Brooklyn, NY, beloved niece Kia Clay, Columbus, Ohio, and a host of family and friends.
A graduate of Dayton Dunbar High School, he also attended Stivers-Patterson High School. Philip worked four decades in the housing industry as a State Certified Real Estate Appraiser. Recently he was employed at St. E Hospital in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky.
A private memorial service will be held for Philip soon.
