Wagner, Phyllis Dean age 84, of Cincinnati, Ohio entered into the presence of the Lord on Friday, February 9, 2024. She was born on April 24, 1939 to the late Lester Gooch and Kathryn Brown (nee Vest).
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Loretta Lewis and Anna Jean Carroll, and brothers-in-law, Walter Lewis and Marvin Carroll.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Ernest (Vickie) Carrier and Stephanie (Guy) James; grandchildren, Brittany (Jimmy) Teegarden-Butts and Steven (Nikki) Sylvester, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Noah, Selah Grace and Silas; extended family members, Zoey and Lennon; and a host of other family members and friends.
Follower of Jesus Christ, Phyllis was devoted to reading her Bible daily and sought the Lord, praying on her knees day and night.
Phyllis enjoyed serving the community at Hartwell Frisch's for 20 years. Prior to that, Phyllis was a Food and Beverage Manger for 25 years at Ramada Hotel in Blue Ash. In the early 70's Phyllis owned and operated Bobby's Florist and Queen City Crane Rental.
Phyllis was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan. She enjoyed day trips to Tri-County Mall with lunch at Ruby Tuesdays to follow. At home she found joy in preparing large meals for the family and small talk around the kitchen table. She enjoyed sunny days where she could plant flowers and tend her tomato plants. As a child she enjoyed summers at her grandparents farm.
The family would like to acknowledge the genuine care provided by Jenna, Marty, Kim and the staff at Ripley Crossing.
A special thanks to Pastor Charlie Miller for his compassion, as he prayed and read the Bible to mom.
