Porshia Lynn Brooks was born December 14, 1992 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Thomas Brooks Jr. & Sharon Brooks. Porshia was the second child of Sharon and the fifth child of Thomas.
Porshia attended Rockdale Academy from Kindergarten through 8th grade. During her time at Rockdale her love for animals blossomed. She made the decision in the 3rd grade that her career goal was to work with animals in some way. And knew exactly what high school she just had to attend.
For Porshia's high school career she enrolled at Hughes Center. Her program concentration was no other than the Zoo Academy. After what she thought was the longest 2 years she was finally able to officially be apart of something she thought was truly amazing and a dream come true. To be a student, going to school at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens, part of Hughes Center's Zoo Academy. All of her desire, dedication and discipline paid off, she graduated in 2011. She was 1 of only 2 students that year to earn the Ohio Department of Educations Vocational Certificate in Zoo Animal Care and Conservation.
Her love for animals never wavered. Even while working at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens in parking she was constantly trying to find employment working with animals. She found that opportunity at DogTown Cincinnati, a dog daycare. While there she earned her Groomers License and her certification in Animal First aid / CPR.
She wanted more adventure and opportunities to learn about animals. She left DogTown Cincinnati to go to Red Dog Resort and Spa. There she blossomed even further moving quickly from the daycare area to becoming a Pet Care Technician and about to be trained to be able to administer medications to her four-legged friends.
Porshia will forever be remember by her parents; Thomas Brooks Jr. & Sharon Brooks, Her Brothers, Thomas Brooks III and Donte' Brooks, her sisters Victoria Brooks, Shawneia Brown and Tia-Marie Brooks. Her true love Aron Martin and their 2 four legged babies, Adam and Eve. As well as a host of other family and friends.
