R. Richard "Dick" Pieschel, age 78, of Erlanger, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on August 26, 1943 to Walter L. and Mary Dolores Pieschel (nee Schrage).
Richard was an outdoorsman of all sorts. He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and snowmobiling in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He also enjoyed being a salesman, which he did successfully his entire adult life, especially boats and real estate. Richard loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, taking pride in those he loved. He loved casinos, especially winning money, and frequented Las Vegas. You could often find him in front of a hot slot machine. Richard was also an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter L. Pieschel, Sr., mother, Mary Dolores Pieschel, brother, Walter L. Pieschel, Jr., and daughter, Allison M. Pieschel.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Patricia M. "Pat" Pieschel (nee DePaoli); children, Rob (Amy) Pieschel, Amanda (David) Squibb, Christina (Joe) Pangallo; grandchildren, Justin, Brandon, Brandy, Stephen, Justice, Emma, William, Luke, Grace, Isla, Quentin,; great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Emerson, Cason, Caiden, Cayla; brothers, Paul B. (Rayea) Pieschel, Daniel J. (Janet) Pieschel, Jerome J. (Lynn) Pieschel; sister-in-law, Kathy Pieschel; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 10:30 am at St. Pius X Church, 348 Dudley Road, Edgewood, Kentucky 41017. Burial will follow mass at Mother of God Cemetery in Latonia, Kentucky.
