Randall Stephen Streithorst

Randall (Randy) Stephen Streithorst, loving spouse of Angela (Daniele) for 32 years, age 62, passed away on May 16, 2021 of Bridgetown, Ohio. Randy was born on September 13, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Melvin and Kathleen Streithorst.

He was first and foremost a family man. His family was the most important thing in his life. He described that the birth of each of his children were the greatest moments of his life. Randy was a compassionate caretaker for numerous relatives and made himself available at a moment's notice for his family and friends. He was a lifelong fan of the Reds and Big Red Machine, rarely missing a game. He also cheered for the Bengals, Bearcats and Oak Hills football and basketball. Randy loved summertime, hanging out at Woodhaven Swim Club, doing backyard grill outs, playing yard games and traveling to the beach. Free time and hobbies included helping his son with home improvements and spending time with his daughter, who he would say had him wrapped around her finger. He was a big Oldies music fan, enjoyed doing magic tricks and teaching them to others and always looked forward to taking his grand dogs for long walks. He boasted about his wife's Italian cooking and hosting the annual holidays was a favorite time for him. Randy and Angela loved porch sitting and talking about their plans for the day.

Randy retired in 2019 after working for Cincinnati Public Schools for 34 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Men's Club and the Knights of Columbus. Randy was a lifetime Westsider and Oak Hills High School alum. Friends called him "Big R".

Randy is survived by his devoted wife, Angela, his loving children, son, Eric (Christina, fiancé), and daughter, Cara, and cherished grandchild (to be) Lexie. He is also survived by his mother, Kathleen Streithorst, his mother-in-law, Lucille Daniele, and his nephew, Daniel Streithorst, and numerous cousins.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Streithorst, older brother, Richard (Rick) Streithorst, and sister-in-law, Rose Streithorst.

The family will greet friends from 8:30 am to 10:30 am on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Cincinnati, Ohio followed by Mass services at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Cincinnati, Ohio at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Feed a Highlander Program, c/o Fiscal Office Oak Hills High School, 3200 Ebenezer Road, Cincinnati OH 45248.
