Raymond Benson, devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend passed away in the comfort of his home on Wednesday, May 26th at the age of 85. Ray was raised at St. John's Orphanage and while he had no biological children of his own you would never have known from the amount of family and friends that surrounded him until his last day. He was a 1953 graduate of St. Henry High school where he was on the rifle and boxing teams.

Ray managed multiple restaurant chains and locations in Kentucky and Ohio during his career where he met some of his dearest and closest friends and their families. Ray never met a stranger; he was an incredibly kind, loving and giving man who put everyone before himself. Ray was an avid sports fan and enjoyed listening and watching the games from his favorite chair. He loved Wednesday morning breakfast with his best friend and enjoyed traveling with his wife to Canada and the Carolinas. He adored dogs and had several canine companions over the years that he also spoiled rotten.

He will be missed for his infectious personality and devious smile that always let you know he was working on his next comeback. He was a storyteller at heart and would always share his favorite memories every time he saw you, if you were lucky, you made one of the main characters in some of those stories. To have known him was an incredible blessing and he will be missed more than words can express.

Services will be held privately with Raymond's family.
