Raymond "RJ" James Wynn, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on October 4, 2024, in Florence, Kentucky, at the young age of 37. RJ was born on November 3, 1986, in Edgewood, Kentucky.
In his childhood, he excelled in football, baseball, and karate. He garnered numerous trophies, illustrating his dedication and talent in sports, but it was his kind heart and loving nature that truly defined him. An avid lover of the holidays, RJ particularly cherished Halloween and Christmas, celebrating these joyful times with enthusiasm and warmth. He also loved animals, especially his dog, Buddy.
RJ balanced his love for sports with his passion for gaming, often spending his Saturdays playing Xbox with friends. He took weekly adventures to King's Island with his godfather, Keith. RJ selflessly donated his corneas and various tendons that will help benefit numerous recipients to have better lives.
While he was actively pursuing his education and seeking a path towards working with computers, RJ remained the loving son that his family adored. He is survived by his father, Raymond Joseph Wynn; his dog and best friend, Buddy; his sisters, Jennifer Wynn and Kasi (William) Steward; his great-aunt, Joyce Jump; cousin, Ashley Stottman (Ryan) Reeves; uncles, Ron Wynn, Steve Wynn, Edward Wynn, and Kenny Wynn; aunt, Margaret (Nick) Lucarelli; godparents, Keith Guilkey and Gabrielle Chapman; and a host of other family members and friends who were touched by his kindness and soft spirit.
RJ is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Joyce "Beth" Elizabeth Wynn (nee Dowling).
A Visitation will take place on October 13, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4350 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. A Mass to honor RJ's life will be held on October 14, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Henry Catholic Church, 3813 Dixie Hwy, Elsmere, KY 41018, followed by burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park 3227 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, KY 41018.
