Richard Anthony Eckstein

Eckstein, Richard A. age 88, of Delhi Township, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 24, 1928 to Edward and Maria Eckstein (nee Schubert). Rich was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1946 until 1948. He retired from Sun Chemical after many years of dedicated service. On September 25, 1950 he married Doris Grunkemeyer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ed, Howard "Duke" and Jim (Sandy) Eckstein; his sisters, Mildred, Elsie, Peaches and Gerri. Rich is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 66 years, Doris A. Eckstein (nee Grunkemeyer); his daughters, Mary (Ray) King, Patricia (Donald) Webb and Barbara Potraffke; his sons, Richard (Susan) Eckstein, David (Ruth) Eckstein, Donald (Linda) Eckstein, and Robert (Keilani) Eckstein; his thirteen grandchildren, Jennifer, Eric, Megan, Lora, Tony, Amy, Robin, Erica, Kayla, Brad, Ryan, Matt and Josh; his thirteen great-grandchildren, Allyson, Kaylie, Leanna, Savanna, Tyler, Cierra, Julia, Alexis, Savannah, Jake, Joe, Angelina and Layla; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, 701 E. Ross Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45217.
