The Life of Richard H.T. Darby began February 3, 1953 at Cincinnati General Hospital. He was the eighth child of the late Fred Douglas Darby, Sr. and Ruby T. Moragne (Darby) Hamoc and late stepfather, Arthur Hamoc and was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Darby and LeRoy Darby.
Richard found Christ at an early age and was baptized at Union Baptist Church. He later went to the Salvation Army Church on Central Avenue every Sunday until his illness.
Richard graduated from Hughes High School and did construction and iron work at various jobs. Richard loved and married his sweetheart Tammy (Williams) Darby. He also loved riding his bike all over Cincinnati and to Cincinnati State College where he studied until his illness last year.
Richard leaves to celebrate his life; his devoted wife, Tammy Darby; son, Cruse; three daughters, Temika Williams, Tasha Williams and LaKeeya Williams; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Fred Darby Jr. (Gloria Jean), James (Lynette), Donald Sr. (Sandy); four sisters, Doris Darby, Gloria Green, Juanita Cain (Willie), Hazel James (Jesse); father-in-law, John Williams; mother-in-law Elizabeth Williams and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
