Richard Schleicher

Richard Schleicher, age 90, of Cincinnati, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Born in Cincinnati on December 20, 1934, he was the cherished son of Johann and Alma Schleicher (nee Tepee). Richard loved all Cincinnati sports, his son's farm and tractor, and all things Indiana.

Richard was a devoted family man, deeply loved by his wife, Juanita June Schleicher (née Perkins), and is remembered fondly by his children: Sharon (Alan) Shaffer, Jeffrey (Allyson) Schleicher, Cindy Teal, and Brian Schleicher. He was proud of his grandchildren: Alex (Stephanie) Shaffer, Kelly (Joe) Glaser, Adam (Melissa) Shaffer, Molly (Chris) Phillips, Ashley Schleicher, James Moore, Amanda (Tim) Blanton, and Vinny Teal. Richard also found joy in his role as a great-grandfather to Dallas Phillips, Macy Phillips, Gabriel Shaffer, Annabelle Shaffer, Barrett Glaser, Daphne Glaser, Austin Snelling, Grace Blanton, Kaysey Blanton, Coby (Kimberly) Blanton and Olivia Moore and great-great-grandfather to Jonah Blanton. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juanita June Schleicher, and his parents, Johann and Alma Schleicher.

To honor Richard's extraordinary life and the legacy he leaves behind, a visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Newcomer, Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45227. Burial will take place at Bridgetown Cemetery at a later date.
