MIDDLETON, Richard T. "Dick", age 84 of Mason, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014. He was born in Mason on June 30, 1929 the son of Theodore Morris and Elenora Edna (Boland) Middleton. Dick was married to Mattie L. "Betty" Toshie on August 28, 1948 in Mason, Ohio. He was the owner/partner of Middleton Brothers Construction Company.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bob and Ted Middleton; his son-in-law, Mick Barr; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Middleton; and three brothers-in-law, Jim Powers, Dave Adams, and Charles DeVore. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty Middleton; two sons, Rick and his wife Holly Middleton and Nick and his wife Jeril Middleton; five daughters, Connie Barr, twin daughters, Dayle (David) Ritter and Dawn Burns, Carrie and her husband Tim McKevitt, and Betsy and her husband Nick Bonno; fifteen grandchildren, Nikki and her husband Shane Jarvie, Spenser Ritter, Chris and Casey Barr, Tannah and her husband Kevin Barton, Garrett Burns, Aaron McKevitt and his wife Julie, Toshie and her husband Tyler Condon, Troy McKevitt, Gabi, Anthony and Tori Bonno, Ryan and his wife Tori Middleton, Nicholas Middleton, and Marissa Middleton; two great-granddaughters, Joey and Paige; and one on the way, Mattie Middleton; six grandsons, Brian, Curtis, Cole, Blaine, Brady, and Kellen; four sisters, Ida Mae DeVore, Clara Adams, Beverly and her husband Harold Bowers, and Barb Powers; six brothers, Jim Middleton and his wife Carol, Dale Middleton and his wife Bobbie, Don Middleton and his wife Delores, Bill Middleton and his wife Linda, Tim Middleton and his wife Lisa, and Tom Middleton and his wife Kim; and numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held for both Dick and his wife Betty at the Mason United Methodist Church, 6315 South Mason Montgomery Road, Mason, Ohio 45040 on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 7:00 pm. A memorial gathering will be held at the church prior to the service from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati - Hamilton Branch, C/O Bethesda Foundation, P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, Ohio 45263-3597.
